Kevin Douglas

Born in Dallas, Texas, Kevin and his family moved to Austin when he was 11 years old. And he has been finding reasons to stay ever since. He attended The University of Texas at Austin for both his bachelors and masters degrees in accounting. A financial journeyman, Kevin spent the first 12 years of his career in a wide range of financial roles with a variety of organizations including a nationwide public accounting firm, a start-up company, and a large semiconductor corporation.

Though those roles would prove fruitful from the perspective of challenge, experience, and growth, Kevin always felt as though his impact in those roles started and stopped at his cubicle walls. He wanted his legacy to be written in the form of an indelible, positive mark left upon the lives of the people he serves, not written in the form of hours upon hours toiling away at spreadsheets and SEC filings. It was that desire to have a meaningful impact upon the lives of everyday people that led Kevin into the world of financial planning with Equitable Advisors in 2012. His greatest professional joy now comes from helping people find financial peace of mind and fulfillment, whatever that might mean.

Kevin lives in West Austin with his wife Jahna and their son Dax. Dax is an avid nature enthusiast, so they can often be found hiking through Austin’s wide array of trails and greenbelts. Jahna is a foodie, so trying new restaurants or recipes together is a must. For his part, Kevin loves playing sports and will readily accept any invitation to engage in pickleball, soccer, football, or the like. More than anything else, Kevin enjoys spending quality time with family.
